General Information: Overview

The Peters Township Sanitary Authority was created in 1964 by the township under the Muncicpal Authorities Act of 1954 for the purpose of providing and maintaining a sanitary sewer collection, conveyance, and treatment system for the western portion of the township. It owns and operates 118 miles of collector sewers, 8 lift stations, and two wastewater treatment plants, the Brush Run WPCP and the Donaldson Crossroads WPCP. The Authority Board consists of 5 township residents appointed by the Township Council for a staggered 5-year term.

Board meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the PTSA office located at 3244 Washington Road, McMurray, PA. Additional meetings are held on the Fourth Tuesday of each month as needed.
